EDIT:
SIX month extension to all MOTs due after 30 March.

==

Seems heavy vehicles are getting 3 month MOT extension/exemption.

Watch this space for light vehicles:

If I'm going to be under virtual house Arrest for three months I want a free TV licence, like other prisoners, as well as a refund on car tax.

Forget about refund on vehicle tax. One is allowed to use vehicle/s for necessary shopping or emergency use.
OR. As in my case (no doubt other folks) the need to get "Out & about"))

Free TV Licence - Reminds me, I must apply for mine.

For you "oldies" like me, if you claim Pension Credit. And I do believe, you claim other types of "Grants"
you can apply for a free TV Licence  Smile

Does need checking on "Other Grants" tho, 'cos that bit don't apply to me.

I reckon there will be some horrifically dangerous vehicles on our roads after 18months of no MoT. Just been looking at some of this week's MoT fail pics on another forum. Unbelievable. Some people just drive their cars from one MoT to the next, or one yearly service to the next. Hopefully, their engine breaks down before something more serious fails and causes a crash. Rolling Eyes

1) So what are your views with vehicles of 40 years or over, not requiring an MOT  Question

2) Please do not be nasty Andy.

However that may be true. Many years back, one of my customers had a Lower Ball joint part company with the arm.
This was on a Volvo that had passed a previous MOT. The owner was driving very slowly at the time of the failure.

Therefore there were no serious implications.
By way of a "Roadside bodge" I managed to make the car drive-able to my place to carry out a proper repair.
