Hi chaps. The air con pump has been removed on my L400, was already done when I got him and really not bothered about it. Am I right in thinking the rad/heat exchanger whatever it is that lives below the passenger door is part of the system and can be removed.? Same goes for the plastic box forward of the drivers side rear wheel.? (Can't think of the name for that, it's late)
Cheers.. _________________ Moby, my 2.8 L400 |

The unit under the passenger side floor is the rear passenger compartment aircon. It can be removed after the system has been drained of fluid.
The unit in front of the drivers side rear wheel also contains the rear section heater, do not remove that as coolant circulates through front and rear heaters as a complete circuit. The smaller radiator at the front of the Delica is the cab aircon and can also be removed, along with several pipes and the aircon reservoir.
Below is a diagram showing the dual aircon system and another showing the aircon parts in the back box; plus a photo of the actuators in the box for moving the flaps. Those are identical, so if you need to check if one is faulty just swap them over.

Regarding the L400's Aircon, is there a sticky thread / guide to the Aircon on the forum anywhere? |

None that I can recall.
'sticky' threads are all at the front of each section. _________________
