Hi all, not to beat about the bush, are there any southern (Sussex) Deli owners that would be up for a meet this year, ie before Christmas?? Just got mine on the road and I'm raring to go  Laughing!!    Have a think and let me know.  Cheers guys and gals.

I'd be up for that and I'll even suggest a destination:

http://www.4x4driving.co.uk/owners_days.php

I was there last weekend, It's really rather fun and you can make it as safe (for the vehicle) or as difficult as you like  Wink

Sussex meet = yes.

Not interested in the suggested site.

Done very slight damage at the Lakes meet this year  Sad

And mud - water etc is a No Go - Very bad for chassis corrosion  Shocked

Meet on "The Downs" = Yes  Smile

Erm...I was thinking more like a sort of Christmas(ish) get together with a bit of food and a couple of drinks etc, etc Stuart, with perhaps a bit of a drive out somewhere??  I am a complete novice at the noble art of "Bog Snorkelling" mate and, I guess I would need a few lessons on that side of things?!!? But thanks anyway  Laughing.

However, a meet on the downs sounds like a great idea Derek. Do you have anywhere particular in mind mate? Or, maybe a couple of dates?

Cheers guys and gals  Smile

Which - 1 or 2  Question  Question

I don't know the Sussex Downs, therefore, your choice. Pick a spot with wind breaks  Rolling Eyes
And rain is a No No - - - Maybe a little  Confused

Now retired, I'm available any time.

Hi Derek,

Sorry for going awol, been in Spain for a while.  I went to a Deli' meeting last year (before I had one. It was on its way over from Nippon) at the tavern at Beachy Head. Very good turn out, approx. fifteen Deli's showed up on a freezing cold day. Very good food and, bracing walks along the cliff tops (try not to jump!!). Or, how about the Devils Dyke Tavern near Poynings, East Sussex (google). The food there is very good too and, reasonably priced. Big car parks at both venues, good for tyre kicking and a natter  Laughing. I don't know of any green lanes around here but I'm sure there are some if you are into getting muddy!
Anyway, perhaps y'all might have a think if a meet up floats your boat?? If so, let me know and we'll sort some dates out. I must just add that Saturdays are better for me. Cheers guys and Gals  Very Happy.
