Anyone know what the maximum lift is on the standard orange Delica bottle jack?
I'm looking for something similar but a bit of an upgrade (as I didn't get one at all with the van)

Cheers

The standard Bottle Jack has 2 stage lift. Maybe lifts 8" or more ?

Sorry, can't help more than that, never used mine.

I reckon that is a good guess, Deker. I always carry a short, thick plank (no jokes please!)  in case I need to jack it on soft ground. Plus it ensures it goes high enough, as I have bigger than standard wheels. Mark, I assume your L400 should have its jack stowed in the rear corner plastic panelling, like the L300?

Thanks both,

@andyman, yes it should have one in the rear corner panelling but in my haste to buy one of these gorgeous vehicles I didn't check that and later found out there was no jack and no tools  Crying or Very sad
I was going to try getting an original orange one (Ebay maybe) but then thought I might as well look for a bit more 'substantial' one as long as it'll still fit in the rear panel...

Cheers

This is the Clarke's equivalent of it:-

But to be honest you are better off spending the money on a small trolly jack, which has a higher lift and easier to get under the reduced height of the wheel hubs, when you get a puncture on uneven ground or off-road, especially when it is wet or muddy..  Wink

That's what I've got, or the next weight up. Does the job and can lift high enough to get the wheel off the ground for checking the brakes on an L400 S2

I carry a 2 tonne trolley jack under the backseat. Lift her up by the diffs.
