Hi guy's, it looks like I might have a cracked head on the old girl, does anyone know of anybody mobile who can supply and fit one, Mitzii-headz appear to be no more and Mark3 doesn't do them.

Fingers crossed.

It may only be a head gasket with a bit of luck.

Deker on here lives in Borehamwood, loads of experience with L400s, Deli owner of many years and an engineer and electrical genius. He'll teach you how to do stuff for yourself, but you may have to provide the muscle-power, but I believe his rates are very reasonable and has a lot of happy customers.

Thanks Andyman, I have met Deker before, but unfortunately I'm not mobile enough these days to do the job myself, even if Deker was to give advice, hence I was looking for someone to do the job for me. I'll have to see if I can find a local mechanic who's up for it and see if I can source a head. Any recommendations for a supplier of decent heads would be welcome. It couldn't have come at a worse time as I've put my house up for sale and need to be running around doing stuff.

YOZA no water in the oil and no steam from the exhaust but it bubbles away doing the bubble test and soon overheats once it's pushed the water out of the overflow.

Bubble test if you're not familiar with it.

Hi Deker, it was on a Salisbury trip over a weekend. It was a few years ago now.

Hi everyone,
My head gasket blew, and a splendid chap came and fixed it.
New head, gasket, did the pump seal, and cam chain all at same time.  All a two days before a ferry to France.
Fixed. And 3000 trouble free miles.  Truck like new.

He came to me (in stroud glos).

Roland Dowson 07427493996.
He was brilliant.  Based in new forest.  Splendid fellow.

He really knows Delica's.  And he'll travel

Good luck.

ps, if it's any good to you, I have 2 original L400 heads going begging. One Off a crashed truck, (no engine trouble before I took it off). The other off off the truck where the gasket blew.  If it's any use to you?

Hi Menteth, thanks for that I'll give him a call in the morning, just wondering if that's the same Roland that worked for Mitzi-headz if so he did my camchain a few years ago and very competent he was too.
