This may sound like a daft question, but have you asked them which Thule racks they have mounted on their Deli's?  Question

Thule used to do a 425 roof kit for the low roof Deli's and a 426 Kit for them. However they have now stopped doing them.  Sad

I've just remembered that there was a post last week asking the same question, which has some follow up info on Thule stuff.  Smile

Hi it's andy again

thank for you message
i did ask them before i posted my message and they purchased them from ebay the sellers just put roof rack for a Delica no code  but after me and my good mate trevor looked at companys on the net that sell thule roof rack we noticed that the leyland daf sherpa van roof rack 82 to 87 looked the same as my mates so i have just purchased a thule roof rack from halfords and it fits and is of excellent quality the code i purchased for my low roof was code 951 for the gutter brackets and code 763 for the load bars i first purchaes code 952 for the gutter brackets but i found they were too high so i think that code would fit a high roof Delica ? also you can use code 762 for the load bars which are shorter than code 763 but i needed longers bar for two kayaks

regards   andy

Andy, how much did you pay for the 951, and also for the 763?

I just got the C 10 set from direct4x4 but they are to high and there is no locking system option. I want to sell it and buy a thule set.

thanks

sorry for late reply but my wife as been in hospital. my roof rack cost about £85.00 and is very good quality plus if you buy the long bar and you have more than one vehicle all you need to buy for the other vehicle is the brackets and you can use the bars from your Delica and save yourself some money

How do you define ‘high roof’ vs ‘low roof’ with a Delica?

I have a ‘98 Jasper Spacewagon, and I need some roof bars for a kayak. I could fit a river boat inside, so when I get that, no problem, but the sea kayak comes first.

It seems Halfords will do 953 for a high roof and all the pictures I’ve seen of any other bars don’t look like they would be high enough to get over the roof. Does anyone know whether I have a ‘high roof’ or a ‘low roof’?

Does anyone have one of these that has put bars on it?

Thanks

As per the photos mentioned on this post:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30196

"Low roof = flat roof level with the gutters, which may have a front cab Sunroof.

Aero roof = low roof, with no openings:

Moonroof = Low roof with large rear passenger section sunroof, a front Sunroof is optional:

High roof = curved roof as per the white Chamonix shown above
"

I have a set of thules I got with high top van I never used.  I can dig them out and check the model number on them if it helps.  They seemed really sturdy.  Shame I will never use them.

Thanks, That's really useful. I clearly have a 'High roof'.

I've seen some pictures that show totally unsuitable bar kits that would never fit mine! I guess a lot of sellers just use a standard picture for all bars.

That would be most useful, thanks. I think that the high ones are '953', but I'm not sure.

Thanks

Anyone know where the model numbers are for these.  I have 853 across the top bars but I would think those are universal-ish.  I Can't see any identifying marks on the part that grips the roof.
