Hi All,

I have my ABS light coming on intermittently.
Sometimes doesn't stay on for long, sometimes stays on until the engine is stopped / restarted.
I also sometimes feel the ABS kicking in when braking at a slow speed when it shouldn't be kicking in, i.e. on a smooth tarmac road coming up to a stop sign for instance.

Any ideas?
Dirty sensor somewhere?

Thanks
Mark...

When I had a similar issue it was a dirty sensor. Jetting the hose around the wheels/ABS ring was luckily enough for me.

Cool, I hope its just that.
I have no idea what an ABS sensor looks like but I'll try some gentle hosing round the back of all the wheels at the weekend...

okay thanks again.

But "hub casting", "knuckle", I'm a bit lost I'm afraid!

Is that first picture the rear or the front?
And is it the top or bottom pipe I'm looking for?

I'll get under the vehicle tomorrow / Sunday and take some pics, see what I can match up...

The Hub is made of cast metal. the knuckle is the sticky out bit, that the front drive shaft goes through and the brake disk fits onto:-

Hmm, I hosed off all round the back of each wheel yesterday.
Took the van for a spin today, no ABS light on until I got to my destination about 8 miles away.
Took dog for a walk, back in van to go home, ABS light comes on again almost straight away and on the entire journey back home...

That's something else I need to get sorted before it goes in for its test........ blow!
