Hello,

This YouTube video showing a nicely machined hinge extension had a link to this forum for the dimensions, the link is now broken.

Door hinge

Does anyone still have this secret information?

TIA

I think the diagram with the notes and dimensions has been eaten by the PhotoBucket crash.

Hello,

Would I need the extension if I'm going to fit 31 10.5 r15 tyres?

In short the answer is yes.

If your fitting tyres that stick out further than the side of the wheel arch, i.e. with the top of the tread showing, then that is illegal in the UK. You will therefore need to fit wheel arch extensions, to cover them.
If your fitting wheel arch extensions, then the sliding door will probably not be able to open properly, so you would need to fit the sliding door extension.

I use 30x9.5x15, which require no modifications at all.
