|
|
I need to replace the small hard brake pipe on the front caliper of a Delica L400. It was stuck fast and twisted when trying to disconnect.
I am not with the vehicle at the moment so can't measure, does anybody know off hand what diameter pipe I need to buy?
Also, what size nut is it so I can buy the correct flare nut spanner?
Can anyone help? |

BB.
Just had a quick measure of brake pipe, looks like 5 mm, spanner size should be 10 mm, sometimes it may 11 mm,
OR 7/16 ths UN, that depends on what may have been repaired in the past.
Looking at brake tube nuts, the sizes can be confusing, as the imperial and metric threads look very similar
The correct size tube nuts are 10 mm diameter * 1 mm pitch. Usually 10 mm tube spanner size - often depends on the manufacturer/s who make the nuts, some make them 11 mm, even more
I have a friend in Gloucester whomay be able to help, unfortunately he is on holiday, I can't call him to ask.
