Managed to get front left caliper off my L400 and hinged upwards. It was quite an effort with a lump hammer and careful placement of a flat head screwdriver.

The brake pads themselves are chipped worn and generally fit for the bin, I was expecting that so no surprise there. The bottom piston has a perished seal and the piston itself was rusted solid.

I am looking at a rebuild kit on eBay that comes with a new piston and all the replacements seals / boots. Comes in at £49.95 for 4, I haven't looked at the driver side wheel yet but am going to assume it is just as bad.

Sound like a plan? Anybody have any recommended suppliers?

Anyone any thoughts on this one? Does anybody have any recommended or preferred suppliers for Delica L400 brake pistons and seal kits?

I purchased new front calipers complete from Brakeparts.co.uk. 01706 662986.
Good service, nice price and friendly people. I would use them again.
Regards.
