One for Andyman.
There is talk on fb about you arranging a Coniston meet, is this true
If so, now is the time to get it started on here.
Or would you prefer going back to Disserth In which case, I would start a meet for there.
Even better = Do both

okay, I know this probably won't suit Ian, having discussed over the weekend,
but as the weekend of June 1st & 2nd does not need to be pre- booked at Coniston Hall camp site,
whereas the preceding, bank holiday weekend does, for the whole weekend,
- I have opted for June 1&2, but arriving from Friday May 31st.
I have posted these dates on MDOCUK FB, today, and already response seems good,
with some positive replies from many who were at last September's AO show, and others.
I have said laning will be reduced to several smaller groups, max 4, and not much bigger for tours,
as last year's Tour of Lakeland Passes showed the difficulty of (a) keeping everyone together, and
(b) finding big enough passing places on the narrow roads.
I am also up for a repeat weekend within the following month, but perhaps based somewhere in
the North Pennines, where there are plenty of trails and country roads less crowded than the Lake District,
more like Wales.
Please put your hands up if you are interested in either of these - I have my eyes on an occasional camping
field near Appleby, and will investigate terms if I get a reasonable number of responses.
I'd suggest my own field, but it's a tortuous trail through narrow gateways - difficult in a L300,
I'd guess virtually impossible in a LWB.

Sorry can't make 1st weekend in June as already booked for our 70th Anniversary of HDRCGB in Kelso, but would be up for another meet in the next month or so as long as not 5th-7th July as will be at our HDRCGB Lakes meet in Kirkby Lonsdale. _________________ Ian.

I've always liked Guzzis, but wouldn't that be rather like turning up for a Delica Rally in a Bongo? _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

That's right, however we do allow inferior brands as long as they are members of the Riders club :D _________________ Ian.

Also try typing Coniston into the FB forum SEARCH bar at the bottom of the index - lots of posts in various threads, but that's the nature of FB! _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

okay, Just to confirm, It will be Fri 31st May to Sunday 2nd June (of course you can choose to stay whatever dates you wish on this site). £10 per person + £2 for a small campervan/car per night, pay on entry. So far, we appear to have at least 10 definites and 9 maybes, so could be biggest turnout so far.
If you are not currently a Deli owner, but are thinking about buying one, it's a great way to come and check out the various alternatives, see everybody's mods, and I'm sure you'll have no problem getting a ride as gatekeeper on the trails! Best to bring everything you are likely to need - Coniston town (village) is 1 mile away, and the camp site shop doesn't have much in it. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Yay! I can come! I have to flee the house that weekend anyway as there is a friends' hen do descending upon it...
So +1 from me! _________________ 1992 L300 Exceed "Selma" |

Glad you can make it - I thought you had a christening in Holland, or was that for the Peak District meet? _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

I'll be there from around 4.00pm. I'll choose an area and put up my home-made Mitsubishi flag pole to make it easier to find. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

For those who will be at the Coniston meet - To my knowledge - The cheapest fuel that way = Canal Garage.
Exit J36 M6, head toward Kirkby Lonsdale, a few hundred yards, a roundabout,
turn Left, on the A65, Canal Garage is about 1/2 mile on the right.

Or coming from the North, Morrisons in Penrith. Once you enter the Lake District, like everything else, prices go up! _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |
