Are there any V6 Delicas over here? I guess they must be mega thirsty but do they have that nice V6 growl? Reckon I'd be interested if one was for sale.

It may be the way we all have to go as the noose tightens on our dirty diesel dinosaurs.

Speak for yourself !  Shocked

Mine isn't a dirty Diesel and I have the paperwork to prove it.

Interestingly on my current trip down to and back from Spain I seem to be getting a lot better performance mpg wise than in the UK.

I'm averaging 32mpg, with at least one days driving at 37mpg.  I suspect that they have a higher quality diesel (Gazole) than what the refuneries feed us in the UK.  Evil or Very Mad

Clean Diesel certificate.  :D

I shall have to drive to Spain too, so I can reduce my fuel consumption. Re - dirty diesel dinosaurs; sadly, I don't think the anti -diesel lobby will be interested in your certificate when they decree that diesels must die!

That will be a long time coming.

All military vehicles run on diesel, which is safer to transport and use on battlefields, etc. Leisure boats are diesel, narrow boats are diesel, most trains are diesel.  Plant and agricultural vehicles are diesel.  Heating systems use diesel.

They can't just stop it that quick, so need to ensure supplies of it around the country for those vehicles.  It would cost billions alone to replace military combat vehicles in the UK, never mind all the other countries. Plus they will also need to find a way of getting the fuel taxes that they will lose when diesel goes.

By the time they do it I will be well past the point of even being able to drive an electric wheelchair.  :D

Hmm... this post has gone well off topic.......  Embarassed

Don't worry, as soon as we all switch to electric cars, your car/wheelchair charging station will have its own little meter with added tax!

Hello All...

First post on a 10 year old thread...  Razz
I should have my V6 Delica "Active Field" 2005 in about 2 weeks.
It had it's MOT yesterday, All Clean. Now have to wait for DVLA Reg.

I guess I will be posting a few questions in the next few weeks/months/years...  Rolling Eyes

Cheers all

This topic requires a separate thread

Next year, from April - IF the Dictator (mayor) Of London gets his way, a lot of Delica, and thousands of other Diesel vehicle owners will have to -

A) Move

B) Get rid of their Delica - Or other vehicle/s

A Could be VERY expensive  Twisted Evil

B Almost as bad as A  Sad

And YES - It will affect me, due to my favourite MOT shop being inside the North Circular Road  Crying or Very sad

I wonder how that EZ ruling will affect the vehicles diverted from the M1/A1, etc through the Blackwall Tunnel when Dartford is shut for roadworks or accidents ?
