500 watt draws 41.66 amps.
1000 watt draws 83.32 amps.

My big generator puts out 2Kw intermitent and 1.8Kw continuous at 230 volts. It's a 4 stroke clean run.
Small one 1kw intermitent and 900 watt continuous, but it is a 2 stroke and a bit of a pollutant.

Sorry, just realised that I was getting Watts and Amps confused earlier in the thread.
I will now make a public apology to my former Physics teacher Mr Royle.  I have let him down, let the school down, and let myself down   Very Happy

You should worry, - I've been teaching Technology for 20 years, and I still think electricals/electronics are the work of the Devil! Give me a nice bit o' wood any day.

You would not be suggesting that Ian & Self are apprenticed to the Devil  Question   Wink   Laughing

Sad  can't make it now, house sale when through this week so I'm tied up with moving/decorating.

Oh well, have fun and post some pictures. Maybe I'll get to the spring show.

Home safe and sound. The Deli stand was excellently organised, by great people I've never met before, and whose names have mostly escaped my enfeebled grey matter - or maybe its just the long drive after a very social weekend, - apart from a couple of interesting vehicles and owners I stopped to chat with, the only stand I really visited was the Cumbrian Toffee Vodka Liqueur stall , having been treated to some at the Delica social gathering on Saturday night! Great to see so many "old" faces, as well as new (to me) young enthusiasts. Looking forward to meeting you all again next season.

Yeah great event and very sociable people.
Home now, got to fix the speedo drive and put a new bulb in the offside front flasher.
May even try to tighten or even replace the alternator belt which is squealing now and then.
