My L300 is still going, 12 years now.

I fixed the roof last summer. Then gave all the L300 inner panels coating of waxoil. Took two weeks to get rid of the smell, but lets hope it will help the L300 live on.

I still have mine in Ireland had it for 8 years now and I absolutely love it. I haven't seen another L300 on the roads here. It's a complete nightmare trying to get parts though because there is none here in the breakers I have to get parts from England. This site has been great saved me a fortune on mechanics with all the info on here. 😝

Just done some rust treatment work under mine, - MoT in 3 weeks. Needed rear arches re-sealing to wings and some re-undersealing. Suspect they'll declare 1 or 2 brake pipes too rusty - only to be expected, given its age. New steering rack gaiters to be fitted, 1 split, the other, I suspect, will follow shortly. Exhaust rusty, but not actually blowing. Still drives lovely, no clonks, rattles or vibration (except at cold tickover - 600rpm). If it passes for £2-300, I'll be happy. That's less than one takeaway a week, - I know which I would rather do without!

I have one , a '93 4d56 manual. comes from germany ( rust ) i bought in '99 and happily used as a minicamper for years. I parked it in 2012 but after eight years it lives again. still working on it, I still think it's fantastic....a lot of diesel, noisy, not for motorways etc..but, who cares ? love it

Are you now allowed to go camping in Italy? I'm glad to be able to go driving in mine, but I'll be really happy when we can go camping again. Glad to hear you didn't part with yours, they are like an old friend - you always have a good time together.

Hi Alex, is yours the pop-top on a standard body or the full custom-bodied motor-home? Reimo do such quality conversions, I'd love one. Are you going to break your journey between S. Wales and Scotland? It's a long way in a L300!
