Seems like my head gasket is finally on it way out.(L300 2.0 L petrol panel van)
After 20 years I suppose it is to be expected.
Main Dealer quoted about £1000 to replace, together with timing belt etc
Considering the amount of work involved didn't think that was too bad.... |

Sounds extortionate to me, for a day's work and £200 worth of bits (both chains, water pump, tensioners, guides. gaskets. It will also include around £170 for the tax man. See if you can find a recommended independent. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

They may have included for that in the price, but it is not always necessary. If they check it and find it isn't necessary, then they shouldn't charge you for it _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |
