The air vents are blowing hot air no matter what temp i set, the van isn't losing coolant and the temp gauge isn't rising and also the air con isn't working but fans kick in ?   Any clues ??

Probably, your electrically operated heater diverter flaps have stuck/stopped working while in the open position. Play with your heater buttons with ignition on, but engine off, with your ear down near the heater, and see if you can hear the servo motors operating briskly (not sounding like they are straining.) If you can't hear them at all all when you switch temperatures, or outlets, you may have a blown fuse.

Sorry, no. Do you not have a translation on your fusebox? I'm sure there's a pic somewhere on here. Lewis is bound to have several, and more detailed information.

Certainly is. It's in the electrical section:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42084

I am sure there has been a recent thread on here by a member with the same problem who took his heater apart to  get all the flaps moving. My Audi had electronic controls and dodgy flaps, except they tended to stick open so you cooked!

My fun and games with this stuff here...

If you get it working properly, please let me know how you did it. I'm still on my "semi-auto" solution.
