Hi all,
My Deli seems to suffer from road noise... a sort of whining sound not too dis-similar to worn wheel bearings. It seems to come from all four corners in the cabin so I'm thinking it could just be the tyres. They are Yokohama Geolander A/T's anyone else experienced these tyres?
I'll be changing them shortly anyway as they are nearly worn out in the middle where thet have been over pressurized by the previous owner. _________________ L400 Delica Space Gear Exceed 2800 Super Select 4WD |

HI
Welcome to the club.
I've been suffering from the same problem, nasty bearing wear sound between 40 and 65 MPH, checked all the obvious suspects including changing diff and transfer box oil and have come to the same conclusion as you ............ Tyre noise, I will be changing from the supplied Sime(??) tyres to BF Goodrich ATs soon and will let you know if that sorts the problem.
Cheers

Hi guys
When I got my truck (3 yrs ago now ) it suffered from bad vibes and 'grumbles' like you describe.
Took it back to dealer, and they agreed that it did seem like wheel bearings. But when it was checked, nothing could be found.
A couple of weeks later I decided to get the wheel bearings changed anyway - but no change
Then I thought ' tyres ?? '
I dumped the Jap originals and had a set of new Kumho road biased AT tyres fitted. Wow what a difference !
Felt as smooth as a milk float :D _________________ Any information in this posting is correct to the best of my knowledge and I accept no resposibilty for any actions or results based upon it.© |
