Really hope you get her mended.
Interesting on them mending the ladder also. I know it can be done but will cost a fair bit if garage doing it.
Fingers crossed!
I've spent the last couple of day doing jobs on mine and it would wind me right up if she got whacked.

Cheers Grouch
i spent ages on the brakes and finally got them right (with the help of the forum ) and i obviously had them working right as fully laden in the wet on mud tyres i stopped in time only to be whacked ...doesn't seem fair .... and after all the man hours I've spent on my truck doesn't seem right it comes down to a pencil neck telling me its just an import and not worth much ... my truck doesn't have a money value to me so i think they should pay and make it how it was before the crash...
the guy said he could repair my ladder and if he couldn't would make me another one , will post what happens either way
i am determined to keep my truck whatever happens ... _________________ Always remember when you read my replies I know less than Bazza. |

Hi sorry for late reply, been driving, on me hols, for the past few days and not had enough of a signal to get online, other than a couple of emails to a pair of unamed individuals.
I still don't have enough signal where I am, out in the bush, to get onto the Mitsu database, but if you show the diagram to any Mitsu dealer parts dept they will be able to find them easily.
I'm glad it all appears to be working out. Don't forget that it was the other plonker who drove into you. You do not have to negotiate anything, it is up to them to put things right as they was and not deprive you of your motor, lr accessories. :D _________________

thanks Lewis....no problem ... Insurance have admitted liability , haven't let them take my vehicle and told them i want to choose where it goes and have gone to a mitsi approved garage , waiting on a quote as we speak and then see what happens then....i am prepared for an argument to get my van back to how it was and not be written off _________________ Always remember when you read my replies I know less than Bazza. |

Just hope you get a buy back option if they scrap it I would be gutted if the Blunderbus got hit and you know the state of mine but every scrape was put there by me mostly following Les or going where he pointed.

I've a few following you
It puts value on the truck, it's called custom crash damage, it means it has less chance of getting stolen _________________ 2nd gear low and go go go!

Unless someone is nicking it to use in a ram raid.
Apparently the are good for reversing into things or through locked doors. _________________

The insurance company will only pay a maximum of what you had its value set at.
For £5k you could get a very good quality import and transfer all your bling and accessories over, and still have change.
Though bear in mind that Mitsubishi labour charges are around £85 per hour plus VAT,
I would be inclined to accept that amount from the insurance, if they let me keep the vehicle, and then use it to get replacement parts from a scrapper and do it myself; probably for less than £3K, including a full professional bodyshop refurb and respray. _________________

i am waiting on what the reply and amount will be from the insurance engineer.....three options valuable , the garage price is accepted and the repairs go ahead, they write it off and i get a buy back option but it has a cat against it , or they give me a cash settlement and i keep the van and try and sort it myself....... nervously waiting the outcome... :o _________________ Always remember when you read my replies I know less than Bazza. |
