guys, L400 matrix i assume is leaking, fluid in passenger well, so on taking most stuff out to see the matrix i have blue fluid at the bottom, heater looks okay but must be a pipe or something behind.
now the question, as a temp fix till i have more time, can i just take of the one and only pipe i can see from the engine bay, just above the furthest glow plug and cap it off? don’t seem to be a return pipe just one?

There are two connectors side by side, shown as item 1 in the diagram below.

The heater sytem for the entire vehicle, front and rear, is one continuous loop.

You will need to disconnect both pipes and fit a short bridging pipe conecting them together, to bypass the heater.

Unfortunately I have one to replace on my Volvo 940.
It means dismantling the front  half of the car to do it.

So less time on the L300!

Simple solution to that is to get rid of the Volvo and keep the Deli.  Rolling Eyes  Laughing

Volvo's have more in common with the L300's than the L400's.  Rolling Eyes

Thanks,Lewis. I understand that.

Its just that I seem to have taken ages to access the matrix on the Volvo!
