That was written/made by my mate Dave (Cobblers on other forums). He's a funny bloke, clever too....and very young! I hate him LOL.

I often use this one because it allows you to use the American sizing (e.g. 31" tyres) and compare them to metric sizes as well as comparing up to five tyres at any one time

They also have quite a simple & effective offset calculator (see here) although I prefer Daves as an all round package when looking at tyres AND wheels.

okay check this.  I entered the stock wheel spec (on the left) and then the spec of the wheels I want to buy (on the right), with the tyres I already have, and the result looks okay.
Basically, I just have to worry about 7-8mm on the inside edge of the tyre due to the stock wheel having an ET32.5mm.  I reckon I can get away with that.  The wheels are already running 265/70/16 tyres, so I'm not worried about the wheelwells and I have arches so the fenders don't bother me either.  This website is really useful.  I put a link in the sticky at the top of the wheel forum.
