This Folly Arch is to be seen at Swanley Bar/Hawkshead. Junction of Swanley Bar Lane & Hawkshead Road,
just off the A 1000, North of Potters Bar.

Nice place to have a journey break and picnic.

Worth a look if you are in the Herts/Essex area.

Should be quite easy to find an overnight stop in the Hertfordshire lanes. Preferably North of Hatfield.

This Arch is about 7 miles from my place, so, if your Deli needs a small bit of repair, see me.

The arch is about 2 - 3 miles from A1 - M25, junction 23 at South Mimms.

Nearby is the RVC = Royal Veterinary College. And BBC transmitting towers at Brookmans Park.

Had you been drinking, Deker, or was the builder's spirit level dodgy?   Smile

When I got there, I twigged that I should have taken my Manfrotto tripod, but it is a biggish lump to carry on me bike.

Also I used my small Digital Panasonic TZ5 (the one I used at your place, to photo the two Delica's) no view finder, only LCD screen.
And balanced the camera on a wooden seat by the Folly Arch.

I do have a much better Nikon DSLR, I have yet to figure out how to take pictures at a low enough resolution,
that will fit into the MDOCUK forum. Without that awful message = Picture too big, Moderator, etc.

I take pics at a good resolution and then reduce them using Photoshop.
Then still have the originals at high res.

My Dear Ian.

I think you may have missed the irony in what Decker was saying  Shocked

Cheers

Laughing No need to take the pictures at lower resolution either! Some photo hosts allow you to post full size images AND give you an option to have smaller images to post with a link to the full size image.
