Hi Davey, yes I like the idea of going in convoy, if you can put up with my L300 averaging about 60 - 65mph on the motorways! (less up hills) Got your pm, thanks, so I'll phone you tonight. Just wanted to be sure about the ticket situation. (PS Thanks Mark!) _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Just in case anyone wants to join in - daveyw and me are meeting at Rivington Services, M61, about 6.30pm Friday, to convoy down to Newark via M62/A1. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Just to say a big thanks to Mark for organising the 4x4 section of this, and to all the Paj people + Daveyw and crew who were so hospitable to this not-so-sad loner. The off-road section had something for everyone, and I was happy just photographing trucks getting down and dirty (very down and very dirty - I have never seen it take 3 trucks to pull another working 4×4 out of a "dip"!) On the other hand, a bog (lol) standard Scooby scooted happily around some of the less rutted tracks without mishap, encouraging me to do the same + some slightly muddier bits in my bog standard Deli 300
With 5mm tread.. And I didn't get stuck or need to be rescued, despite picking up a fair amount of muck and vegetation with my unlifted undercarriage. Not trying hard enough, I hear you say, but it's a long way back to Cumbria in a damaged Deli. Just a shame there were only 3 Delicas there, me, Daveyw and Mark. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Yep - nice to meet you Andy - it was a good weekend - and I think next year will be much better attended and bigger on the 4x4 side As promised I think we set the course out so it was able to be used by all - from a car to a cow !
Looking forwards to next year, and maybe even some other events at the same site

It was a good event and was nice to meet some members like andyman and mark. We didn't brave the 4x4 track cause we've got road tyres on, tho wish I had now after seeing pics of the Scooby putting me to shame. Would love to join in on the next offroading/greenlanning adventure. When's the next trip mark? |

I'm talking to the showground about using this site again,as I think it is in quite a good location for access - so, maybe a camping meet in Spring or so.
But, I may also put together a bit of a social meet up at some point before Christmas - North West / Yorkshire Area ( ie my neck of the woods )
