Nipped it up, seems okay for now.

Vehicle Type: Exceed L300,
Engine: 2,4 Litre,
Milage and Use: 221180 Km Usage trips camping and the moors + commuting to and from work,
Major Failure: On MOT, when bought: Steering Rack, Power steering pump, Roof had major rust, both wing mirrors not there, Cracking both sides of the tow bar on the frame, overheating engine.
Remedial Work Required: Front number plate(adjusting), Roof(re-spray), Radiator cap replacement, second hand steering rack + power steering pump, anti roll bar rubber (replacement), Brake pipe rear (replacement), Head testing (PRICELESS) Laughing

Reoccurring fault: None so far :D

Engine........................2800
Mileage and use...........179,000 Km showing used for anything really used daily by me for running around and for holidays etc.
Major faliure................None known
Remedial wrk req........ Timing chain (complete kit) pump seal ,front and rear discs and pads, front and rear drop links, glow plugs + relay. All oils changed inc autobox, Half moon seals replaced , EGR valve blanked off, and exhaust replaced. Also front anti roll bar rubbers.
Reoccuring fault...........Glow plug relay (I'm on my third but they have been second hand )

remedial work-cv boot for mot,new thermostat and system flush after both heater matrix blocked
reacuting problem-poor heat to front and rear heater and thermostat side of engine cold still.

Major faliure: Alternator bolt snapped leaving me stranded and needing RAC rescue. Metal fuel lines on fuel tank pickup corroded allowing air to be sucked in
Remedial work required: Front flexi brake pipes for last MOT

Engine: 4M40T
Owned since: last month!
Mileage and use: 95000miles ish, use about 400 miles per month as second car, work commute only so far, muddy stuff soon hopefully!
Major faliure:
Remedial Work: belts, oils, fluids, filters, thermostat, coolant bleed screw (own fault!), Glow plugs, glow plug bar, EGR removed/ blanked, TPS
Reoccuring fault: None

to do:
Air con compressor
Un-bend side steps (previous owner had some fun)
re-lacquer roof
New rear bumper/ boot door, or fix the current ones.

All good fun!

Milage and use 128k on the clock used for work first 3 years now retired for towing and mud plugging,

1995 L400 Space Gear

Bought in 2009 80,000 miles on the clock

Needed: 1. Brake calliper front
2. Brake calliper rear
3. Anti roll bar links front
4. Anti roll bar links rear
5. Anti roll bar bushes front.
6. Complete exhaust system, (replaced with stainless steel one)
7. Rocker box rubber seal and half moons
8. Set of new glow plugs
9. Fan belt.
10. New radiator(old one had small leak)
11. Oil pressure switch oil leak
12. Front wheel drive green lights flash and remain on

Regularly change service items but otherwise no major problems. Have now clocked up an additional 47,000 Kim's since purchase. This is definitely love!

Recon block about 50,000 ago (before my time)

Stuff gone/done: Head gasket, front shocks, expansion vessel, exhaust, most of front suspension, front brakes, 4WD sensor, aircon, starter, alternator, belts plus one or two little niggles.

Used daily, anything from going to the shops, to the South of France, festivals, camping etc etc.

The list looks a bit rubbish, but most was easily solvable and these vehicles are like no other. I was looking to get rid and get another, but you know what...... better the devil you know.

The wife loves her too!!
