Is anyone else having trouble with the forum not marking threads as read?

It started happening to me yesterday, just one or two threads but today it doesn't seem to be updating any of them.

Seems to be linked to "keep me logged in"

I logged out and in again and it cleared.

Seems okay for me and I log in and out several times a day.  Laughing

Try pressing your f5 key, to clear your computers memory cache.  :o

I get this if I log in using IE but not with Chrome or Firefox...?

(I only ever really use Chrome now anyway)

F5 (and also Ctrl + F5) made no difference, if no one else has the problem then it's probably my machine, it was fine up until a couple of days ago.

I'm a web developer so I have all the browsers Smile am using Chrome though.

It's working for me in Firefox, I guess somethings just gone a bit wrong with chrome, I'm guessing the forum is using cookies to determine read/unread.

Yeah it's a cookie screw up, I've seen it on various forums, not just here, sometimes you can clear it by 'mark all forums read' as it resets the cookie i guess, of course that has the opposite effect, it now shows all threads as read, even when they aren't.

I seem to have sorted it by logging out deleting the browser cache and history, restarting the browser and logging back in.

This came back but I think I've realised the cause of the problem, I stay logged into the forum on the laptop and the problem happens immediately after I us my phone to read the latest posts.

In short I'm screwing up the cookies not the forum Smile

I always use the "View posts since last visit" link

http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/search.php?search_id=newposts

as I often go from phone to PC to tablet etc
