Also, I have had a chip put in so it converts speedo KM to MPH
but the speedometer is still registered in KM as per the MOT/SVA, but it clocks on in miles

so it started at 112123KM, I have now done 500 miles so that should be 112623 ?

You take the amount of KM the day the chip was fitted ...now convert the amount to MPH this is your new figure..though your clocks will carry on with the higher figure it will clock up in miles now...

so your original 112,123km = 69,670miles + 500miles since = 70,170miles total

your clock will read 112,623miles but we know its less! [about 42,000 miles less]

Also your clocks speed may say KPH but they are now reading in MPH so its a bit over optimistic but your speedo can now reach 180mph  shame the Deli Can't!

hope this helps

Thanks for the reply, but don't quite agree, my old Jasper when converted was in Miles and always has been so don't understand why this one is any different

You have 3 choices... 1= Chip the clock this will now read the speed in mph but use the original KPH dial [meaning when it reads 50kph it will now be 50mph]. This will also clock up mile rather than KM on display
2= Change the clock face/display only. This will now read in MPH and KPH but your miles will still clock up in KM not in MILES.
3= don't do anything to it and place little sticker markers on your speedo to give you a crude idea of how fast your going in MPH [the mileage will still clock up in KM as the speed will still show in KPH

Is this any more use to you?
