Me and the missus swapped the rad on the Deli today (she's getting good with the spanners!)

The new rad came from Dewsbury Auto Salvage, who also sell new parts.

This is it side by side our old rad:

It's a Jap import, and, unlike the cheap Chinese copies sold on eBay, has the same core depth as the OEM rad.  It's twin cored (also unlike the cheap eBay ones which are single core).

Not bad for £115 + £10 next day delivery - it's working a treat in the Deli.  8-)

Their number is 01924 454445 - I spoke to a chap called Lee.

ordered one this week from them - checked core depth = 15mm.  Rang them up and explained issue.  The reply; "just fit it mate an see how you get on - we've sold 30 and never had a problem".

so to clarify: THEY NO LONGER DESPATCH THE 25mm CORE ONES

anyone got a 15mm one fitted? - any problems?

cheers

Bob

Really sorry to hear that Bob.

Anyone thinking of ordering should read this thread first:

Maybe not such a good recommendation after all Sad

I bought a rad in a hurry in March, and when it turned up it was a thinner core. No problems so far, and some people say the thinner core lets more air through so the cooling is as good as thicker core with more surface area. Temp gauge is still in the same place even in the hot weather.

I wonder how the 15 would hold up with a rake of mud stuck in the fins as the 25 does not llke it too much.
