Hi all i found a web page advertising a product that will stop the black smoke without blanking off the erg valve, it involves a small ball bearing to be positioned in the correct place with no adjustment requires to your vehicle, also says reduces emissions and approx  4 BHP more.

Had anyone heard of this or fitted it and dose it work?

It only costs £2.75 inc p+p and comes along with fitting instructions.

This has come up before from other members. The little ball bearing is stuffed up the EGR vacuum pipe and has the same effect as if you pulled the pipe off, which is a lot cheaper. However it still doesn't stop the exhaust gases pushing the EGR  valve open and getting back into the sytem!  :?

One of mine is from the club shop, which is designed to fit between the EGR valve and the inlet manifold.

The other to fit between the exhaust pipe and the EGR valve I made from some thin steel plate, using the original gasket as a template!  Wink

Made some for Tonkatrucks Deli and both Deli's are working okay!
