Hi does anyone have a genuine cig lighter for a L400 chamonix (95) as mine did not have one in when I bought it or maybe someone can point me in the right direction of somewhere to get one. Also the rear 12v socket doesn't work, was this wired on the Chamonix , if so any clues as to where the fuse might be for it , i'm hoping that is the problem.
Many thanks
Nelly

You should be able to get a replacement from any Mitsu vehicle at a breakers yard!
The fuse is located below the steering wheel on the drivers side:-

Hi
I have a chamonix and boot cig lighter does work.
I had troiuble getting a cig lighter to fit in the front socket.
I had a few knocking around and they where all to big.
Got one eventually from a breakers. Out of a Bongo I think.

hopefully you will find it is wired,
if the main fuse is not blown, there is a fusable link on the back of the socket,
I've just had to repair mine, took apart and used an inline fuse holder,

You will find the back of the socket looks something like this...
The fusible link can be "Jumped" when broken, or alternatively yo can disassemble the nut and pull out the small piece of "insulator" between the brass plates, then re-assemble.
I did what Davet did and used an in-line fuse - more reliable and more easily sourced when on the road and something goes wrong. (I also upgraded the whole wiring to the rear socket as the factory wires are a bit flimsy).
Cheers,

G'day Bugboy,
Thanks for the wishes.
Sydney is good, though I try and avoid the city as much as possible. I live in North West Sydney (about an hour out) and try and keep it that way.
Glad the photo helps.
Good luck,
