Someone is making some money somewhere. But that's how it works, isn't it?
Fortunately, the only insurance claim I've got experience with was when the ex-wife stuffed a small Hyundai with a Cavalier.
The Cavalier had a bent front bumper and wheel arch (which I managed to straighten) the Hyundai 'needed' near £2000 worth of work.
I got rid of the Cavalier and a little later, the wife.

Bet you miss your Cavalier |

It was a 1600cc GM diesel Cavalier, not very fast but very reliable, opposite to the ex-wife really.
