Of course it will make some difference, but it is difficult to quantify, it will depend on the weight and aerodynamics. Possibly 5mpg or so.

I got down to 18mpg Sad  going to Mersea Island. Towing a 1900kg twin axle van and everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink. Wasn't hanging about though, did whatever speed limit I could.

Usually get about 27 solo. 2.5 engines are greedier as they have less torque and need more revs to compensate. I usually get 20-22mpg with the van on and not carrying so much stuff Laughing

I get about 18 to 20 with the caravan on the back, sometimes a bit less if I forget and don't slow for the hills.

I now let it slow down behind all the car's pulling caravans up the hills, before I woud just overtake but getting the turbo singing on the hill drinks the juce.

I don't notice much difference with the teardrop on. It's probably more aerodynamic than most caravans Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes  somewhere in the mid twenties 8-)  8-)

well to be honest I don't think it is that noticeable, we tow a large Coachman Amara weighing 1450k to the east coast ( Scarborough ) and the difference is negligible whether we have the van on the back or not, but we do stick to the limits and are never in a rush..seen way to many accidents thanks to someone's van getting out of shape. I will not take any risks with my wife, two kids and our boys ( labs ) in the back... we are on holiday and don't care how long it take to get there.....as long as we arrive.

We get about 25ish .. but we run Bio so the cost is minimal

I think it's the gentle right foot that helps your fuel economy for sure.

So long as you take it easy, you shouldn't notice a huge difference, after all the Deli isn't the most aerodynamic car on the road is it.

Hilly areas might knock the mpg down a bit. But it's not going to be loads.

Cheers Dave
