It went like this....
Paj sold subject to MOT.
Paj fails MOT on steering box and rear exhaust.
Buyer agrees to go half.
Steering box ordered (by garage) from Mitsubishi (I don't know where).
Mitzi says "a couple of days"
Garage 'phones Mitzi a couple of days later, they say "er... it's on back order"
Garage 'phones Mitzi a week later, they say "oh, erm.. we don't have a steering box"
I 'phone Milners.
Steering box arrives next day at garage.
Garage fits steering box and it leaks like a sieve.
I 'phone Milners and moan.
Milners send replacement next day.
Steering box fitted, MOT got, Paj sold. :D
Apart from the first steering box being duff, exellent fast service from Milners.
As for Mitsubishi 'nil poi'
And there is no way on Earth I am selling the Delica. They will have to prise it from my cold, dead whatsits.

I'm taking marks away from Milners.
I returned the old steering box on 6th March (they got it next day) and I have still NOT recieved the £100 surcharge back.
Apparently they have a three week turn around and it doesn't include Bank Holidays. I have to wait until begining of April before I can chase.
So, if you get an 'exchange' part from Milners DON'T expect your deposit back any time soon.
EDIT: Deposit returned on 25th March. :D _________________ 1994 L400 SE (Black)

That kinda sucks they are fast enough to get the stock out and take your cash so it should be similar the other way round.
I wonder if they give you any interest for the time it is sat in their bank account ? _________________ 100% BIO DIESEL ! Well not quite at the moment

I have mixed opinion on them.
Helpfull... I think yes
Cheap... yes
Inexpensive... no
Explain.....
Their stuff is cheap but does not last well, I have had a problem with ball joints failing after 9 months.
okay they replaced it but it should not have failed and I know mine was not the only one ! _________________ Regards

I used lower ball joints from them last year, the rubber has perished already and hence failed the MOT.
I've used them a few times, although the service and price is good the products are utter shite.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS (unless you are bodging to sell your Delica!) |

|
|
I know this should go elsewhere on the forum, but thought it may not get seen, so here it is!!!
I ordered an exhaust at 4.15 yesterday from Milners, they said it would need at length added to it.
It arrived lunch time today, just the right time for fitting, I love crawling under the Delica in the cold.
I have to say it fits without any mods and misses the tow bar which the original one hit until I adjusted it.
So thanks Milners for another product that does the job and gets to you quick
By the way better price than an Ebay price, give them a call first for parts is my suggestion. _________________ 1992 Grey/Silver Delica Exceed 2.5TD Auto. Several Road, Off Road and Trials Bikes

Guys
The full timing chain kit on Milners site is only £85, which is by far the cheapest I have found.. Are there possible quality issues? Same with Oil filters.. Cheapest I can find is £24 and Milners are a fiver!!!
All advice welcome _________________ Scrumps

Just had a Trip to Milners this morning for OIL and Fuel filters which were boshi ones a new steering rack gaiter and for the rear trailing arm bushes for both sides front and rear of rear. The quote I had for the bushes from mitsi was £24 plus vat each for all four and couldn't get them till end of month so I thought what the heck go to milners low and behold genuine mitsi parts for 18 and 20 pounds each off the shelf. Got talking to the chap there and turns out that a lot of their stuff is genuine. So perhaps is best to phone before you order to find out, especially if your worried about quality. I dare say that they would be able to get you genuine at a better price than going direct to mitsi if you ask although this is my opinion as I didn't ask. |

Failed mot yesterday ..exhaust back box tail pipe ...was 1 piece . Suspension arm bush too ! Phoned Milners who do their exhaust as a 2 piece with tail pipe separate, which is better cos there's nothing wrong with silencer just rear pipe, price on website £85 plus vat plus carraige ....fair ??? Wait though , Milners have reduced prices , exhaust now £40 whole package including bush del & vat only £78 ...how good is that !! Good for Milners and good for us ! |

I've ordered parts from them this week and they were beating most prices on the net AND they arrived am next day...But then again they've always been spot on with everything I've had. _________________ Doing as little as possible for as much as possible.. |
