A friend has a very similar Delica to mine (P24W body type). His tranny is stuck in first. Fluid has been drained and replaced - any starting points for him? If not, good mechanics in Suffolk?

Thanks,

Terry

Hi Terry, a friend of mine had same problem with an automatic toyota car a few years back.
He got the RAC to take it to a automatic transmission specialist. Turned out to be the electrical connection on the link from the gear stick to the auto box. It was fixed in an hour.
Not sure that it's going to be the same with the Delica - but worth investigating first. Also - was fluid changed using correct sequence ? I understand that you Can't just drain it out and re-fill. Needs some sort of bleeding system to do it right - but don't quote me on that one.

Don't know about the sequence, but he's more mechanically adept then I so he probabaly did it right. Will pass on the info, thanks.
