hi all,

just recovering after a mad day at the Chase, glad to make it out in one piece!!! I think "challenging" would be an understatement in the Deli!! Had a fantastic time though.

Many thanks to Bill for organising it and the guys who lead us all around (didn't get a chance to say so as I thought we were meeting back at the visitors centre, but only one Paj turned up so I guess everyone must have headed off home.)

Great to meet some more club members (Paj club on this occasion).

PS, hope the Suzuki gets fixed up alright.

Plenty of piccies there Shocked

I take it the Deli' performed well Wink

Some of the gaps in between the trees looks a bit tight Shocked

and some nice deep tracks to pick up plenty of mud Shocked

There were some seriously hairy moments I can tell you!! Made Abingdon look like a walk in the park. There's a lot more trees up the Chase for a start!

Again, the Deli performed admirably, only the ground clearance let me down again (steps now even more squashed and a bigger lump hammer needed to bash out the breast plates this time!).

I need Paj wheels and/or a lift!!!!

PS photos 11, 12, 13 show the Deli stuck on a 'small' lump in the ground. Side step took the full weight fortunately(?)

Looks like a lot of fun, I can't get the wife out of the vehicle to take that many photo's.

After my first outing I removed my steps, as I nearly wiped them off. I how also run MTR's and have a 2" lift which helps.

maybe you can help me, a 2" lift is just what I'm after. Did you do it yourself? Please could you tell me how it was done? And are you still running he standard tyre size, 235x75 R15? How does the lift affect the roll of the vehicle and does it still feel stable at large lean angles?

Thank you for the info. I actually sent an email to west coast 4x4 yesterday, as apparently they are the UK Ironman stockist, for part number MITS031BKG which includes the springs. shocks and torsion bars. It this where you got yours from Davel400, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

PS, I'm sure 30 degress will be quite enough for me!!!

I can't remember how much it was, a couple of years now. I bought mine from the manufacturer here in OZ. I fitted the following ironman components:

MITS 031B REAR SPRINGS

MITS 025B LH/RH TORSION BARS

I didn't replace the shocks at the time as I had just got my front ECS shocks rebuilt. I'll be replacing these soon.

Ah, should have spotted you were over in Aus, I've got some rough prices though, about £260 for the springs and torsion bars and £120 for the shocks. It's certainly an option.
