I have to replace my two front tyres and it seems they are an unusual size - 215/80/15. I've found a few places on-line that have them but not many. They were Yokohama Superdiggers and the rears still are. I drive a '94 Exceed SpaceWagon. Any thoughts? |

Yes please, I'd like to see them. I'm especially interested to see if the wheels match mine. Why did you change out...and did you find this size hard to match? |

I should mention that I've found 215/75/15 easier to find and less expensive. Does anyone know if I slight change in the middle number would make a large difference to me? |

Indeed you can fit 215 75 15's but you should have a set of 4 that match. the biggest tyre you can fit with no body work mod is 235 75 15's. I will send you the photo's if you can suppy me an e mail address as you have not got one displayed on here.
They are 215/80/15's on star wheels, I changed mine because was offered a set of original Star Wagon one's for less than £200 and they just seem to suit the Vehicle better. These look good on an L400 as a few people i know have them on already.... |

Terry, the 215/80/15 are the standard size so you have to be aware that if you change size the speedo will be out. The table shows you how much in % terms. I have 265/70/15 on my L300 Delica but I am going on to standard size. As you can see the 225/75/15 do not make much difference to the speedo so if they are cheaper or you have more choice go for it.
The numbers are not exactly under the right columns in the chart so you'll have to move them over in your mind. Sorry about that. Top line is therefore Spec 215/80/15 Sidewall 6.8ins Radius 14.3ins Diameter 28.5ins Circumference 89.7ins Revs per mile 707 Difference 0%
Sorry again I am losing it. The tyre you were thinking of was a 215/75/15
As you can see there is a 3% difference. General concensus among tyre companies is that you should not go more than 2.5% off standard.

Thanks to all for the advice and info. Got good-looking Cooper ATs in 215/80/15 and the shop stripped a stud and nut for free!

Got'm from the my local garage, who ordered'm from somewhere around here (39 quid). I'll take pictures soon, but right now the weathers nasty (Suffolk) here and the beast needs a good wash and wax. Can't embarrass her by posting a shot where she doesn't look her best.

Did they have the MT's as well as I'm looking for them. I was quoted £86 each so you got damn good deal.
Do you think they would mail order them to me |
